This World Environment Day we celebrate it again with the island's schoolchildren at the Information and Environmental Education Center managed by TIRME as a commitment to environmental education and to changing the habits of citizens, since for years, we have verified first hand the important role that citizens play in the waste management model of Mallorca.

Citizen collaboration is the key to success in the implementation of the waste management model implemented in Mallorca, a model that has made it possible to achieve zero dumping on the island. For an island like Mallorca that lives from tourism and, therefore, from its landscape and its territory, having a waste management model based on zero discharge is not a whim, it is almost an obligation.

The Park's Information and Environmental Education Center is working to improve social awareness on the issue of waste and its recycling. Since its inauguration, around 230,000 people, free of charge, have visited this great center and have been able to see first-hand the important role that citizens play in the waste management model of Mallorca.
